Administration guides overview

This documentation is relevant to the new IBM Quantum® Platform. If you need the previous version, return to the IBM Quantum Platform Classic documentation.

The content in this section is intended for IBM Quantum® Platform account administrators. You can use the administration panel to provision Qiskit Runtime instances, and to control access and allocation among your account users. You can also use it to generate analytics and download data.


Get started

  1. If you don't already have one, register for an IBM Cloud account. If you already have an IBM Quantum Platform account, use the same email for this account.
  2. Log on to the new IBM Quantum Platform. Choose IBMid and enter your IBM Cloud account information. The dashboard opens.
  3. Use the drop-down menus in the header to specify which IBM Cloud account and data locality regions you want to work within.
  4. Click Create instance + to set up an instance and allocate time to it. If you already have an instance, click the menu in the upper left and choose the Instances page to work with your instance or create a new one. For details, see the Manage instances topic.

You are now ready to add users to instances and assign them to individual access policies or preconfigured access groups to simplify policy management.
