Prepare for the new version of dynamic circuits
As previously announced, you will soon be able to run dynamic circuits at utility scale with the new version of dynamic circuits.
The new version of dynamic circuits will be the only supported version on backends with the upgraded firmware. On or around 7 July 2025, ibm_sherbrooke and on-prem systems that did not receive the firmware upgrade will no longer support dynamic circuits. ibm_sherbrooke is also scheduled to be retired on or around 28 July 2025.
To continue using dynamic circuits without interruptions, contact us to request information about early access.
Early access to the new version is currently available on ibm_marrakesh
, ibm_fez
, ibm_torino
, ibm_kingston
, and ibm_aachen
. We are expanding it in July to ibm_strasbourg
, ibm_brussels
, and ibm_brisbane
, following the planned firmware upgrade.
General availability of the new version of dynamic circuits is planned for later in the third quarter of 2025.
As a reminder, you can find out which QPUs support dynamic circuits by executing service.backends(dynamic_circuits=True)
in the qiskit-ibm-runtime
package.
